With thousands of kids already participating in our events in Oxfordshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire this addition to the calendar offers more kids the opportunity to have a go at something different.
- Achievable distances for all abilities of 7-16 yr olds
- Safe environment with event course contained within the grounds of Sutton Park
- Safe lake swim with lane rope, safety boats and plenty of support in the water
- Spectator friendly grass cycle & run course
- UK Kids Fun Triathlon 2019 finishers medal for everyone
- UK Kids Official T-shirt available to buy on the day
- Sutton Park, Boldmere Gate, Birmingham, B73 6JH
NB: There will be a promotional video being filmed and photographs being taken at the event so please be aware of this.
As organisers of the biggest triathlon series across the UK we are passionate and proud about what we do.
The Kids Fun Triathlons are no exception and leave everyone with a special sense of achievement at the end of an event when hundreds of smiling kids faces, parents words of appreciation and promises to return next year confirm that the end result was worth every bit of hard work all round.
NB: Due to the cycle course being on slightly uneven grass within Sutton Park, it is recommended racing bike wheels and tyres that are used for tarmac are not suitable for the cycle leg of the Kids Duathlon and Triathlon.
Mountain bikes or similar types of bikes would be suitable.

The whole of the bike & run course will be post and taped, making it easy for the children to navigate.
When you arrive at registration on the day of the triathlon, you will be given two wrist bands in your event day envelope. One for your child to wear, and one for you (the parent/carer) to wear.
This allows one parent/carer to go into the cycle transition area with their children.

- Blue dotted line = swim course
- Yellow lines = Kids bike course
- Green lines = Kids run course
- White dotted line = Kids bike finish

Testimonial from a Headteacher
Dear UK Triathlon team
I just wanted to say a huge thank from us at St Thomas', the children and parents had an absolutely amazing day at the Cheshire Duathlon. The feedback from parents has been phenomenal in terms of seeing their children achieve something they never would have normally attempted, also the children have still been buzzing and talking about it (even wearing their medals in school today). It most certainly was an experience they will never forget.
This was a big investment for our school, so from a personal point of view, the event was extremely well organised both prior to and on the day. The UK Tri team made us feel really special throughout the day taking their time to do extra photos and make special announcements etc, this meant a lot to both myself and the children. I can genuinely say that Saturday will be one of my career highlights forever.
The children and myself wanted to send you all a picture of us with our medals to say a big thank you for creating the most amazing memories and giving us the most magnificent sense of achievement.
If I can be of any help in terms in speaking to other schools etc just let me know.
Many Thanks
Louise and Team St Thomas'
